Schoology Closes $6 Million Round Led by FirstMark Capital and joined by Meakem Becker Venture Capital
Schoology, an online learning platform that helps teachers organize lessons and collaborate with students, announced a $6 million Series B round of funding April 16, 2012. The round is led by FirstMark Capital and joined by existing investor Meakem Becker Venture Capital. Schoology provides a cloud based next generation learning management platform built on a social networking platform, and is marketed to K-12 schools, higher education, and corporations world wide. Schoology enables students and educators to manage classroom work while having the ability to seamlessly communicate and collaborate anytime and anywhere through a safe and secure online environment.
